1.  Can I get my annual women’s physical done at the free clinic.

Yes, but you will need to pay lab fees for you PAP smear. This is billed at a discounted price for Free Healthcare patients.

2.  May I use Siskiyou Free Healthcare if I have catastrophic insurance with a high deductible?

Yes.

3. What if I’m putting off my healthcare because I can’t afford my co-pay.

If you meet certain financial criterion, your co-pay can be waived.

4.  May I come for preventative health care.

Yes. If you choose, there may be lab costs involved. Your history and physical is free.

5. May I bring my children in for a sports health physical.

No. We’re very sorry, we cannot do sports physicals. Please contact your regular physician.

6.  I’m worried that I make too much money to come to the clinic.

If you are uninsured and experiencing serious financial hardship and you are putting off needed healthcare, you are welcome.  You are also welcome if you have insurance with such a high deductible, you are putting of healthcare.

7. How many patients can you serve at each clinic?

We are limited to 25 patients on a first come, first served basis.

8. Can my doctor get reconds from my visit?

Yes, they will be forwarded to your regular doctor

9. Are there limits to the conditions Siskiyou Free Healthcare can treat?

Unfortunately, you probably know there are. Because of limited resources we cannot typically treat:

Chronic Conditions: Our time constraints do not allow us to treat chronic issues requiring regular or frequent visits. But do not despair, your VHC Today visit is free. We will also do what we can during your visit. We will refer you to local sources to assist you in identifying government programs you may qualify for or less expensive sliding scale clinics.

Non-Emergency Pain Relief: Narcotics are  rarely prescribed except in the case of an  acute injury.
