Pay It Forward
What Does it Mean to Pay It Forward?
Participating Siskiyou County doctors want to see that uninsured residents receive basic health care at no cost.
In return, they are asked to “Pay It Forward” by doing a little volunteer work in their community. This means nobody has to feel as though they cannot afford healthcare, they can.
All that is asked (not required… it is all volunteer) is you volunteer whatever time, energy, and talents you choose, to perform an act of kindness in your life or community as payment.
The only cost for your visit is kindness.
When you’re feeling better, pay it forward by doing something for someone in need, or give some of your time to a community project.
- Help an elderly neighbor by mowing his or her lawn.
- Help spread the word about Siskiyou Free Healthcare. Download the pdf flyer on this site announcing the next clinic dates and times, and post them at your workplace, church, gym and favorite stores. Keep flyers with you to share with uninsured friends.
- Volunteer with a local service organization or resource center.
